The Wisepill API is now utilized within Tanzania’s DHIS2 adherence module, where it tracks patient adherence to TB treatment regimens based on the National TB Program (NTP) protocols. The success seen in Tanzania has ignited its expansion through the region and is now also used in Rwanda, further underscoring the utility of this technology in strengthening public health systems.
Beyond its success in African countries, the Wisepill API is making an impact in different regions such as Eastern Europe and Central Asia through its integration into the I-Like VST app. This app, which supports treatment adherence for people on TB treatment, uses the Wisepill API to provide real-time data and insights, significantly improving the chances of treatment completion and cure in the region.
