Considerations for the inclusion of DATs in the Global Fund Covid-19 Response Mechanism Reinvestment

On the 20th of July 2022, the Global Fund published an Operational Update for urgent C19RM funding reinvestment.

Besides the three re-investment areas that have been identified as key priority areas for HIV, TB and malaria – covering additional PSM costs; bi-directional screening and testing and TB testing – we would like to encourage countries to also consider implementing digital adherence technologies (DATs) to support people affected by tuberculosis (TB).

The Secretariat of the Global DAT Task Force has created a document on considerations for the inclusion of Digital Adherence Technologies as a tool to support tuberculosis treatment alongside other requests linked to the identified C19RM reinvestment priorities.

The document can be downloaded here.

The Global DAT Task Force provides technical assistance to county NTPs or implementing partners on the proposal development, introduction and scale up on DATs as a tool to support tuberculosis treatment. Contact us here if your country requires this.
